Single-Stage Compressors

Principle of Operation

The pistons of the compressor/motor are composed of mirror image rotors, rotating about a common central axis. Varying the relative rotor velocities, forms variable “cylinders”. The “cylinders” are functionally a four-stroke compressor requiring no valves. Each rotor is connected to a rotating proprietary mechanism that converts the motion of rotors to a rotating output shaft motion.

Compressor offers the following advantages:

-Light weight, compact;  60-70% smaller and lighter than equivalent 4-cycle reciprocating compressor/motor.

-No loading between pistons and cylinder walls reduces wear of components, and increases mechanical efficiency.

-Fully balanced, with minimum 8 compression-strokes per each shaft revolution (4x2).
